My name is Tom, founder of the local’s wine club — a proudly independent business built on the idea of sourcing amazing wines at outstanding value to Mid Devon wine lovers.

I’ve worked in and been involved with wine for over a decade. I spent three years in London managing a wine merchant in Notting Hill, just off Portobello Road, where I built great relationships with clients, sourcing them their perfect wines for every occasion. After that, I lived in Melbourne, Australia, where I worked in wine and expanded my knowledge and understanding of New World producers. My wife and I have spent time visiting wineries in France, Portugal and Italy, where we have discovered fantastic wines from under-the-radar producers.

I hold a WSET Level 3 qualification and have my sights set on the Diploma (Level 4), and Master of Wine in the future.

I use my network within the wine trade, to source, taste, and sell outstanding wines directly to you, the locals. Each parcel of wine I buy is unique, therefor, my list is constantly changing. The wine I have this week might not be available next week, and sometimes I’ll only have a few bottles — so act quickly if something catches your eye! As I get to know your preferences, I’ll send you personalised wine recommendations that match your taste.

I offer free local delivery, and if you’re outside my area, I can arrange delivery for an additional cost.
