Reds
2023 Pinot Nero, Kaltern - £21/bottle (3 available)
The grapes are ground in a northerly region of Italy called Trentino Alto Adige, north of Verona. A fantastic region for to grow a variety of grapes, but particularly good at Pinot Noir. This has intense cherry, red apple and wild berries, with a good chunk of cranberries in there too. The palate is medium bodied with a velvety texture and a long, fresh finish.
2024 Valpolicella, Allegrini - £14.50/bottle (10 available)
The bright ruby colour to the wine makes it pop from the glass. On the nose it shows aromas of cherries and plums, with black pepper and herbs. A powerful, smooth Valpolicella accompanied by crisp acidity and a long, fresh finish. One of my favourite wines on the list.
2018 Barbaresco, Produtorri del Barbaresco - £30/bottle (4 available)
A fantastic producer who consistently delivers exceptional wines vintage to vintage. Red berries, Mushroom and dried leafy herbs, along with orange peel and sweet spices. A great wine to pair with food but equally good with salty snacks.
2019 Chianti Classico, Fontodi – £28/bottle (8 available)
A mature, rich Chianti Classico from a highly regarded producer. Exceptional length and class for the price.
2020 Silare 18, Casadei – £43/bottle (1 available - more available, just ask for details)
The top cuvée from a Tuscan winery near Bolgheri, made from 100% Cabernet Franc. Powerful, with big fruit and fantastic length. Ideal with ragù, stews, or lasagne. Organic
2024 Château Fontarèche, Rouge, Vieilles Vignes, Corbières, Languedoc - £14/bottle (5 available)
Notes of black fruit and very true to type. Wild on the nose with bramble and sweet spice more structure on the palate than the nose suggests. Mineral on the finish. Classy.
2025 Domaine Peter Sichel, Montanha, Vallée de Cucugnan, Languedoc - £20/bottle (6 available)
Light ruby-red wine with a clean nose, offering aromas of red fruits, wild strawberries, and mountain berries. It boasts a fine and elegant structure. 12% ABV.
2021 Château Laroque, Grand Cru Classé, St Émilion – £25/bottle (12 available OWC)
Punchy dark fruit, tobacco, and star anise. Young but already excellent after a few hours’ aeration. A superb right bank option.
2016 Château Barde-Haut, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé - £30/bottle (3 available)
Readers will find a rich, flamboyant wine in the 2016 Barde-Haut. There is not a ton of subtlety here, but I am not sure that matters all that much given how immensely pleasing the 2016 is. Crushed rocks, graphite, lavender, blackberry, plum, and violet infuse a Saint-Émilion that offers tremendous textural richness as well as vibrancy. Most importantly of all, the 2016 is flat-out delicious. This is a decidedly opulent, dark Saint-Émilion with all of the elements impeccably balanced. I loved it. Drink 2021-2036. 96 points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous
2020 Chateau Marjosse, Bordeaux AOC - £14/bottle (24+ available)
For the money, this is one of my proudest finds! For lovers of the slightly ‘old school’ Bordeaux style, this one’s for you. A merlot-dominant blend, with a little Cabernet Sauv, Cab Franc and Malbec, it shows rich red plum, blackberry and mulberries, with pleasant levels of Bay and iron flavours. If you’re interested in ‘points’ this received 94/100 from Lisa Porretti-Brown. A true Bargain!
2024 Beaujolais Lantigne Rouge, Jean-Marc Burguard - £17/bottle (12 available)
An attractive deep ruby in the glass, the nose boasts bright aromas of crunchy red fruits and violets. On the palate, the wine has a superb structure, with grainy tannins, concentrated red fruit flavours and excellent acidity lifting the finish.

Whites
2025 Soave Classico, Pieropan – £16/bottle (11 available)
The benchmark for Soave Classico - 90% Garganega, 10% Trebbiano. A well balanced organic Soave from one of the best producers in the Veneto between Verona and Venice.
2024 La Rocca Soave, Peiropan - £34/bottle (6 available)
This is a truly exceptional wine. Golden yellow in the glass with a wonderful perfumed nose of exotic fruits and nuttiness, which runs through into the palate. A long and rich palate, with a little spiciness towards the end. If you like richer Chardonnays, please give this a try, it’ll be to your liking.
2024 I Frati, Lugana - £20/bottle (6 available - More coming soon)
I rediscovered this wine whilst skiing in Obergurl recently. I remember tasting for the first time back in my London days and loving it then, but it hadn’t popped up on my radar again until now. The wine is rich but well-balanced, fruit-forward but not over the top, and the acidity is spot on. Lugana at its best!
2024 Gruner Veltliner, Kamptal, Liomer - £17/bottle (8 avaialble)
A hugely popular Grüner from my recent tasting. The grapes were hand-harvested, picking only the best and ripest for the wine. Incredible layers of flavour, including lemon and pineapple, with ginger and white pepper spiciness and lime zest on the end. It also looks sexy as hell!
2019 Chassagne-Montrachet, Les Caillerets, Jean Noel Gagnard - £40/half bottle (12 available)
One of the absolute best estates in Chassagne-Montrachet is run by winemaker and only child, Caroline Lestimé. No chemical fertilisers, herbicides or pesticides are used, with the utmost respect given toward the environment. Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets reveals marvellous fruit purity balanced with subtle melted butter and cream notes on a long, richly textured finish. Not cheap, but worth every penny!
2024 Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, NZ – £18.50/bottle (18 available)
Produced by Kevin Judd (formerly Cloudy Bay). Fresh, citrus-driven, with mouth-watering acidity and a long finish. Excellent value under £20.
NV. Sandeman Fine White Port - £15/bottle (3 available)
If you haven’t tried white port before, this is a hidden gem from Portugal. Often overshadowed by the better know Ruby and Tawny port options, the white is an excellent option for warm summer evenings. I love it neat, it’s only 19%, chilled and served with a little ice, or as an alternative to gin and tonic.
Rose
2025 Le Poussin Rose, Sacha Lichine - £12.50/bottle (24+ available)
Hands down the crowd favourite. This is a fabulous Rose, especially for the money. Produced by the mastermind behind Whispering Angel. Strawberries and Cream, lovely fresh Melon and a touch of Salt - Summer in a glass. (12.5% ABV)
Champagne
Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve - £50/bottle (1 available)
This is a wonderful non-vintage champagne. 50% reserve wines go into the blend, giving the wine a fantastic richness. Brioche and roasted nuttiness, classic to the style, along with ripe Mango, Apricot and Victoria Plums. Exceptional wine for the money.
